Gorgeous George and the Zigzag Zit-faced Zombies by Stuart Reid

Review by Andrew Birdsall.

Adrew Birdsall review of Gorgeous George and the zigzag zit-faced zombies

The book is about 5 kids who get trapped in a school full of zombies because two drivers were carrying acid which fell into the local pond water and the kids from the school visited it. So they all caught a virus and infected the whole school when they came back.

So George and his friends have to try to escape before the army blows the school up or they get infected too! I loved the language the author uses in the book. It was very gross and a proper boy book!

I thought it was very funny when George’s grandpa used the words touching cloth to describe needing the toilet!! I laughed out loud! I liked how the author wrote when grandpa Jock was speaking scottish.

He used words like ‘ye’ instead of ‘you’ and ‘oot’ for ‘out’. There was nothing that I didn’t like about the book. I think overall it is a comedy book with a bit of horror and some action.

If I had to rate this book, I would give it a 10/10! I loved it.

Wow thanks to Andrew for this great and a little gross review ? if you’d like to do your own review and join the ‘Stoom Squad’ you can… click below.
